Have you already built AI solutions that are effectively running in production? And do you get energized by translating a business question into a scalable solution on Azure? Then you've come to the right place at The Zoo. We're not looking for a pure consultant or pure developer, but someone who takes ownership and makes sure ideas actually go live. You work at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and client interaction.
The Zoo is a team of hybrid thinkers and doers from Hasselt. Strategists, developers, marketers, and AI specialists work together here on solutions that are actually used, not just presented. No silos, no classic role divisions. Instead: collaborating around real client problems, from idea to implementation.

YOUR ROLE

You translate client questions into concrete and feasible AI solutions (such as RAG, agents, or Copilot). You analyze problems, propose the right approach, and make deliberate choices. No "shiny AI" without real added value.
You lead AI and Agentic projects from first workshop to production. You ensure a PoC is never an endpoint and keep scalability, performance, security, and cost in mind.
You actively develop solutions yourself: RAG pipelines (retrieval, chunking, ranking), AI agents, Copilots, and integrations via APIs and Azure services.
You define the technical direction and safeguard the quality of solutions (Azure AI stack, data flows, CI/CD, production readiness).
You work directly with stakeholders, translate business problems into AI solutions, and challenge unrealistic expectations where needed.
You help strengthen our approach by setting up reusable use cases and bringing junior team members along in projects.

YOUR PROFILE

Master's level, though drive and talent count just as much.
You've already built AI solutions that are genuinely in use, not demos that never made it anywhere.
You've set up a RAG architecture yourself and understand where things can go wrong (hallucinations, poor retrieval, evaluation).
You've worked with multiple components within the Azure stack (such as Azure AI Search, Functions, and API integrations).
You build in Python and/or C# and can develop solutions independently.
You naturally think about what's needed to get something live: monitoring, evaluation, performance, security, and costs.
You can clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves: Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio or Copilot extensibility | Knowledge of Power Platform/Dataverse | Experience in consulting or pre-sales | Experience with agentic frameworks
